- 100 g peeled prawns
- ½ inch ginger
- ½ inch turmeric
- ½ inch ginseng
- ½ red chilli
- 1 tbsp lemongrass
- 1 lime
- 2 tbsp coconut milk
- 5 or 6 shallots (or half onion)
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 banana leaf
- 50 gr rice
Scald the banana leaf and drain it.
Cook the plain rice and save it for later.
Chop ginger, turmeric, ginseng, chilli, shallots, garlic and lemongrass. Squeeze the lime. Mix these ingredients and add salt, coconut milk and prawns.
Place the mix on two sheets of banana leaf. Wrap it to shape a rectangular package, and close it with toothpicks.
Cook it on the grill or on the pan, 5 minutes on each side.
Unwrap it and serve it hot with plain rice.
