- 400 gr chicken – (2 chicken breasts)
- 1 lemon or lime (2 tbsp juice)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tsp pepper
For the sauce:
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 5 or 6 shallots (half onion)
- 1 cm fresh ginger
- 2 tbsp butter (50 gr)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (tamari)
- 4 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
Grate the clove of garlic.
Chop the chicken in small pieces (8-12) and marinate it with lemon juice, grated garlic, pepper and a pinch of salt, for 30 minutes.
Chop shallots, garlic cloves and fresh ginger, and brown it in a pan with melted butter for 2 or 3 minutes.
Remove it from the pan and fry the chicken in the butter, until it starts to get brown.
Then, add soy sauces and the sauteed (shallots, garlic and ginger).
Let it cook for 2 minutes and serve it with plain rice.
