- 12 prawns
- 4 garlic cloves
- 6 shallots (or half onion)
- 1 cm fresh ginger
- 1 cm fresh turmeric
- 1 tbsp lemongrass
- 1 potato (to thicken the sauce)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chilli sauce
- 2 glasses water
- 2 leaves of lemon
- 1 egg (garnish, boiled)
- 1 red chilli (garnish, sliced)
- 3 shallots (garnish, golden)
- 50 gr noodles (garnish, boiled)
- chive (garnish, chopped)
Peel and chop the potato, and add it into a pot with cold salted water. Place it on the fire and let it cook until it is softened. Strain it and let it cool.
Also, place the egg in a pot with cold water and salt, and cook it on medium heat. Ten minutes after the water starts boiling, remove the egg from the heat and let it cool. Later, cut it into slices.
Heat water in a pot. When it starts boiling, remove it from the fire and add the noodles. Let them sit a few minutes and stir them. Strain them and set it aside.
While, cut 3 shallots into slices and fry them. When they are golden, strain them and save them for later.
Chop ginger, turmeric, lemongrass, garlic and shallots, and fry them in a pan with oil on medium heat. Add boiled potato and smash it.
Pour the water. When it starts boiling, lower the heat and add tomato sauce, chilli sauce, sugar and salt.
Stir it and let it cook 5 minutes. Later, add prawns and leaves of lemon. Let it cook for another 5 minutes.
On the plate, place the prawns with some soup, noodles, boiled egg, golden shallots, chilli pepper and chopped chives.
