Serves 4

  • 500 gr chicken
  • oil
  • 1 tbsp spicy sauce
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 piece of cinnamon
  • 2 or 3 cardamom pods
  • 2 or 3 cloves
  • 2 or 3 pieces of star anise
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 6 small tomatoes (about 100 gr)
  • water (if the sauce is too thick)
  • ½ tbsp sugar
  • salt
  • 1 tbsp lemongrass
  • 5 or 6 garlic cloves
  • 2 or 3 cm ginger fresh
  • 10 shallots (or 1 onion)
  • oil

Chop chicken and fry it in a pan with a little oil on high heat until it is golden. Set it aside.
