- 12 pear or vine tomatoes
- 1 onion
- olive oil
Wash and chop the tomatoes.
Place them in a pot on medium-low heat. Stir them occasionally.
When the tomato is soft, remove it from the heat and strain it.
Chop onion and fry it in a pan with olive oil on medium-low heat.
When it is golden, add the tomato and low the heat. Stir it occasionally. Let it cook for 30 minutes, so the tomato loses the excess water and the sauce is thicker. Taste the sauce and, if it is acidic, add some sugar.
