For 4 roti:

  • 250 gr flour (a little more to knead)
  • 25 gr butter (a little more to grease the dough)
  • 1 tbsp condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 120 – 150 ml water
  • ½ tsp salt

1 mezclar huevo mantequilla sal 2 añadir harina 3 mezclar

En a bowl, mix butter, salt, egg and condensed milk. Add flour and mix it.

4 añadir agua 5 mas agua 6 amasar

Pour slowly 120 ml water and knead the dough on a table with some flour (if necessary, add a little more of water).

7 formar una bola 8 cubrir

Shape a ball homogeneous, firm and smooth. Let it rest for 30 minutes covered with a damp cloth.

9 formar bolitas 18 o formar 3 bolas y cubrir

Then, shape small balls and grease them with butter. Cover them with a damp cloth.

10 estirar 11 estirar mas 12 y mas

One to one, stretch them until they are rectangular and transparent sheets.

13 doblar 14 doblar mas

Fold them in half and again in half.

15 freir 16 dar la vuelta 17 dar la vuelta

Lightly grease a griddle with a little oil and cook the roti on medioum-low heat. Fry them for 5 minutes on each side until they are crispy and golden.
