Serves 4

  • 250 gr rice
  • 4 or 5 cloves garlic
  • 2 limes or 1 lemon (optional)
  • water (500 ml for long grain rice, 700 ml for short grain rice)
  • olive oil
  • salt

1 arroz a remojo             

If the rice is long grain, wash it changing the water several times.

3 arroz rehogado

Chop and fry garlic (optional) along with the rice in a pan with a little oil on medium heat for some minutes.

4 añadir agua

Salt it and add water and lemon juice (optional).

5 arroz blanco

Stir it and let it cook on low-medium heat for about 20 minutes.
